How a document reaches Rise Drive
Through the same slot as everything else: send it to the Magic Box from the app’s home screen, your phone’s share menu, or your company’s Magic Box address. There is no separate upload. Magic Box recognises that the file is neither an invoice nor a receipt, and files it into Rise Drive. → Magic BoxFolders
Rise Drive presents its contents as folders. Files are sorted into them automatically as they arrive, so there is no folder structure to maintain and nothing to remember to move into the right place.Who sees what
The admin grants additional access per user, so a single person can be given access to exactly the material their work requires.
Auditor is a permission level of its own: an auditor can see the material but cannot upload, change or delete anything.
If you can’t find a document someone else uploaded, that’s permissions rather than a fault. Ask your admin for access to that material.
Retention
Documents uploaded to Rise Drive are archived the same way as the rest of your accounting material. How long a document is kept depends on the type of material and on the accounting law of the country your company is registered in — typically somewhere between six and ten years. Your accountant team can tell you which periods apply to your company. Retention is a legal obligation, not a setting: material is not deleted before its period has run, even on request. The archive is tamper-proof, so a stored document cannot be altered afterwards.Related pages
