Rise handles the full invoicing lifecycle — from creating and sending invoices to automatically matching incoming payments against open items in your books. Once a payment arrives in your bank account, Rise closes the invoice without you lifting a finger. There’s no manual reconciliation, no chasing down bank statements, and no risk of leaving a paid invoice sitting open by mistake.

Creating an Invoice

1

Open the Invoicing section

Go to Invoicing in the Rise app or web dashboard.
2

Start a new invoice

Click New Invoice and select an existing client from your contacts, or add a new one on the spot.
3

Search for the customer from the business listing

Search for your customer in the built-in business listing. Once selected, Rise automatically retrieves their eInvoicing address, VAT number, and other registration details, so you don’t need to enter them manually.
4

Add line items

Add your line items, quantities, and prices. Rise automatically applies the correct VAT rate based on your client’s country and VAT registration status — you don’t need to look anything up.
5

Set payment terms

Choose your payment terms — for example, 14 days or 30 days from the invoice date.
6

Send the invoice

Click Send. Rise emails the invoice to your client using a professional template that includes your company name, logo, and bank details.

Many Invoices from One File

When your billing is based on material you already have, you don’t have to create invoices one at a time. Send a project billing report or a spreadsheet covering your whole customer base to Magic Box, and it produces the sales invoice drafts in one go. The drafts are ready to send: you review them and send. → Magic Box

Automatic Payment Matching

When your client pays, Rise detects the incoming bank transaction and matches it to the open invoice automatically. Your accounts receivable is updated in real time — no manual entry, no reconciliation step. If Rise can’t match a payment with full confidence, it flags the transaction for your review rather than booking it incorrectly.

Invoice Statuses

Every invoice in Rise moves through a clear set of statuses so you always know where things stand.

Automated Payment Reminders

Rise can send automatic payment reminders to clients with overdue invoices, so you don’t have to chase payments manually. To configure when reminders go out — for example, one day after the due date, then again seven days after — go to Settings → Invoicing → Payment Reminders.
Add your client’s VAT number when creating the invoice. Rise uses it to apply zero-rate VAT for intra-EU B2B transactions automatically.

Issuing a Credit Note

If you need to reverse or partially refund an invoice, you can issue a credit note directly from Rise. Open the original invoice, click Actions → Issue Credit Note, and specify the amount to credit. Rise books the credit note against the correct account automatically and links it to the original invoice for a clean audit trail.
